Brownie Girl Scout Camp

We did it! We survived our first Brownie Girl Scout Camp. We went to Trefoil Ranch Friday after school and returned home Saturday evening.

It was actually a 'camp-in' to teach the girls camping skills. They got to pitch their tents inside the lodge at Trefoil Ranch. I have to say that this was my type of camping (electricity, hot running water, fireplace, industrial kitchen, the works) The girls did really great and honestly our troop was the best one there.

We learned about knife safety, dutch-oven cooking, trail etiquite and everyone's favorite knots. The girls got to create skits and we leaned a lot of fun songs! On Saturday we did a hike to test all of our skills and we even got to see three deer while on our hike.

It was a great time and now the girls can't wait for our backyard camp in June.

The battery in my camera was dead so I will have to wait for Amanda to share her pictures with me and then I will post some of them.

Here are some of the pictures from camp. They girls loved playing all the new games they learned!

I'm glad everything went well. I don't know what's worse, little girls or teenage girls? I'm hoping I have as good of luck as you did!
